Shell Artistree Plant a Tree Program
We are excited and proud to announce our new partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation!
Since we are a fine art studio specializing in paper products such as ketubot and invitations, we wanted to find a creative way to give back that would directly reduce our studio's impact on the environment. This unique partnership allows us to make a contribution to the Arbor Day Foundation's Reforestation program for every eligible sale we receive.
For every eligible Ketubah and Invitation order we receive through our studio, Shell Artistree will contribute $1 to the Arbor Day Foundation's Reforestation Program, allowing one tree to be planted in a damaged forest.
We take our responsibility to the earth seriously and look forward to aiding in the replanting of many of our nations forests which have been devastated by droughts and fires. We are thrilled to be a part of this earth and soul friendly program and hope that our clients will feel great purchasing from our studio, knowing that we're all doing our part to keep our world healthy and green.
Please do visit the Arbor Day Foundation to read more about the many wonderful earth friendly programs this fantastic organization is involved in.
As an artist, I share with you my love of paper.
Paper quality is everything to the artist. Complex qualities, such as color, texture and weight of the page marry with more subtle ones such as the feel between the fingers, or the way the paint lays down on the page or absorbs into it. Paper choice is paramount to the finished product which is why I have spent so much time researching the best quality options available for the collections I offer.
The choices are endless, and thankfully, as our world becomes more eco minded, it is becoming easier for us to work with environmentally conscious suppliers so that we can offer our clients end products that are not only beautiful, but also earth and soul friendly.
As the owner of a fine art studio that specializes in products printed on paper, I have the distinct responsibility of making sure that my company does not needlessly impact our beautiful earth in a negative way. All of us at Shell Artistree are committed to operating in an ecologically minded and environmentally accountable way. We're far from perfect, but we're consciously trying. It's not just a personal choice we are making. It's our responsibility. And it's one we're proud to share with you.
Information About Shell Artistree Paper Products
We are proud to offer environmentally sound paper choices for the products we create.
Our studio uses a variety of different fine art papers to create the various products we offer to our clients. We consciously purchase our studio's paper products from only environmentally responsible paper mills when available. These mills produce chlorine free papers, thus avoiding a slew of toxic and hazardous bi-products.
We currently print Invitations both in-house and out of our studio. For Invitations printed in our studio, we purchase the majority of our Invitation papers from paper mills that utilize hydroelectricity power. They are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified. FSC is a highly recognized non profit organization which encourages responsible management of our world's forests. They ensure that forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable way. Our current In-house Invitation papers are made from 30% Post Consumer Waste (PCW). Additionally, we expect that we will soon be able to offer a paper choice that is 100% recycled and therefore, 100% environmentally friendly. For Invitation orders that are outsourced, we are actively working towards finding environmentally conscious partners to print our collections.
We proudly print many of our fine art prints and products on exquisite 100% cotton, acid free fine art papers from a family owned, European Mill. The company's strong commitment to the environment includes a unique onsite water filtration system which returns water used during manufacturing back to the original water source cleaner than when it came into the paper mill. The mill also recycles more than 200 tons of paper per day and uses its own generating plant to produce its electricity.
We take great pride in offering our clients a responsible selection of paper products that they can feel good about ordering. In our ongoing commitment to the environment, we continue to pursue eco friendly suppliers.
